Reading in New York

Dec 23rd, 2009 by admin in Books, Writing

The Sunday Best reading on January 10th  promises to be a corker. Heather Sellers will be reading from her forthcoming memoir You don’t Look like Anyone I Know,  Laurie Newell will be reading poems from her series Poems like Crystal or Falling Sown a Hill, and Sarah Van Arsdale will be reading from her recent work Bone on Bone: One Hapless Human’s Descent into the World of Modern Medicine, accompanied by a showing of her watercolors. The readings will alternate with Soho Voce’s spontaneously invented song in the tradition of Bobby McFerrin.  As always for Sunday Best events, a suggested donation of $7 gets you admission as well as free drinks and snacks.  And of course that’s at 4:00 P.m. in The Lounge, 183rd and Fort Washington Avenue.
