Kate Light

Jun 18th, 2009 by admin in Writing

KATE LIGHT is the author of three volumes of poetry, Gravity’s Dream (Donald Justice Award), Open Slowly, and The Laws of Falling Bodies (Nicholas Roerich Prize), and the texts of Oceanophonyand Einstein’s Mozart: Two Geniuses (for narrator and musicians). She is currently at work on an opera libretto and two musicals, and she is also a professional violinist in New York City.

She’s my new favorite poet. Elizabeth Gilbert (Eat Pray Love) loves Light. These books are sexy, funny, brilliant, fresh, lovely–you’ll wonder why you stopped reading poetry. I love how Light writes!
