Pomegranate and Rosemary

Pomegranate Sorbet Babies
I have outdone myself. I’ve made the sorbet they are going to start serving in Heaven. It’s pomegranate juice, with a touch of fresh window-sill rosemary, a kind of blessing of rosemary, really. The two together make an alchemy that could be called Perfect or could be called Love. There’s some pomegranate licquoer and a dash of fresh lemon juice. The Brummel mass in the background, ancient dog snoring softly on the good sofa, overcast Sunday in June. I am lonely and alive and in love with these flavors and life. I’m happy to be taking this sorbet to D.’s house tonight for her birthday party, with a gift of art and fresh raspberries and love.

Just saying “hey” and “happy summer.” I am one of your readers but this bit about sorbet has realy caught my eye. Hmmm…can I call in tomorrow, not go to work and stay home to spend time in the kitchen (or read? or better yet, do some writing?) Thanks for sharing this.
