Mid Term Evaluations: Stop Start Continue

Jan 25th, 2008 by admin in Teaching

From Rhonda Collier, I got this idea for gathering information from students at midterm.

Tell me what you want me to stop doing, to start doing, and to continue.

(This would be good in relationships and workplace scenarios too.)

Like prompts in Practice of Creative Writing–specific yet also encompass all genres.

Prompt on p. 122–like because it shows you as the author/writer know what you’re doing. Get student writers to do what you want w/o making it feel restricted.

Great meeting you at AWP–your session on women & humor was amazing. -Marianne Zarzana
